[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the Milf Manor Season 2 premiere.] Milf Manor just went there. The TLC reality show returned for Season 2 on April 28 and dropped a bombshell twist in the final moments of the premiere. After the first season’s twist, it seemed there would be no way for the show to top the shock factor. Well, Milf Manor found a way. The Season 2 MILFs met their younger suitors and started to establish connections. Any headway was completely upended when the dads of the suitors arrived at the Canadian manor to enter the dating pool with their sons. “That’s my f**king dad,” a stunned Joey said as he spotted his father in the distance. “The fact that my dad’s turned up has actually like blown my mind,” Jacob said. “Like, that’s probably the last thing that I expected to happen. It feels like a sucker punch. I’m in the ring,...

When “The Sympathizer” showrunner and director Park Chan-Wook brainstormed ideas for HBO’s newest miniseries, one scene struck him as a “quintessential American institution and represented the idea of America.” It took place in a steakhouse with several characters coming together.

Phanxine isn’t an actor.
Or so he says, though one might beg to differ after seeing his performance in “Love It or Leave It,” the third episode of HBO’s “The Sympathizer.” Though he’s no stranger to filmmaking, having directed and produced popular features such as the Vietnamese box office hit “Sweet 20,” Phanxine is a first-time performer. [Warning: The below contains spoilers for American Idol.] The Top 10 took the stage during American Idol to perform songs from their birth year. To help them with this trip down memory lane was country superstar Shania Twain, who served as Sunday’s show mentor. Judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan had a front-row seat as the singers aimed to secure a Top 8 slot based on America’s live voting. Breaking up the heat of competition was two homecomings. Idol champs Scotty McCreery and Just Sam stopped by to show the competitors what is possible with their careers. Scotty brought “Cab in a Solo,” and Just Sam took on Whitney Houston’s“One Moment in Time.” Since Just Sam won in 2020 during Covid and the at-home season, it was the first time they performed before a live Idol audience. A powerful moment indeed. Who did host Ryan Seacrest announce making it to the next round?...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for When Calls the Heart Season 11 Episode 4 “Along Came a Spider.”] Lucas (Chris McNally) gets a very unwanted blast from his past, one he’d not exactly been truthful about, when his old “friend,” Jeanette (Cecilia Deacon), comes to Hope Valley on When Calls the Heart. Sure, they’ve gotten into trouble in the past, but she insists she’s just there representing a group of investors interested in the hotel. Lucas doesn’t buy it and spends the episode trying to get Jeanette to leave and keep her from interacting with anyone, especially his ex-fiancée Elizabeth (Erin Krakow). But Jeanette does make sure to introduce herself to Elizabeth just before she leaves. So how much was Lucas not wanting her around about him knowing her tactics and how much was it him not wanting the reminder of who he was? “I think it’s definitely both. Lucas knows Jeanette well...

Reba McEntire is primed to headline a sitcom for the first time in more than a decade with a new NBC pilot, a project that reunites her with producers, writers, and at least one star of her 2000s WB series Reba. The pilot — which McEntire says is titled Happy’s Place — stars the singer as a tavern proprietor named Bobbie. “My dad was the owner, and I’ve been running it for the last ten years, and my dad dies,” she explains to Entertainment Tonight. “So I find out some information at the reading of his will that I’m not too happy with, so…” That information is that she has a half-sister, played by Belissa Escobedo (Blue Beetle), who’s joining the tavern team as her new business partner. Reba costar Melissa Peterman, meanwhile, will play Gabby, a clingy bartender who wishes she could be Bobbie’s sister, according to Deadline.

Think about it: Can you name a recent series that gives off Dawson’s Creek, The O.C. or even Pretty Little Liars energy? Shows that offer incredible melodrama, characters you simultaneously love/can’t stand and baffling storytelling choices in a high school setting? Not considering the supernatural ones — if only because their scope tends to reach too far beyond high school — we can count this type of all-engrossing youth drama on one hand. The teen soap output from The CW, Freeform (née ABC Family) and MTV has become all but nonexistent.

When TV Insider asked Gloria Reuben just that question, she confirmed she would. “I think honesty is key, and I think that she feels that way for sure. The entertainment offered at a White House Correspondents Dinner is always graded on a curve, and it deserves to be.
The President (when the White House is occupied by someone who can take a joke and shows up) is never going to get offers from the Main Room at Caesar’s Palace the morning after his after-dinner set; and the professional comic (almost always late-night-connected) is aware he/she is telling jokes to a group not exactly sure when or how much to laugh.
That tends to make it hard to induce truly explosive laughs.
Colin Jost had the additional challenge last night of performing slightly out of his element: his jokes on the “Weekend Update” segment of Saturday Night Live are almost always backed by some joke-enhancing illustration. No graphics available in the Washington Hilton ballroom.
Most of the comic performers who have headlined the dinner have later said...

Looks like a shake-up is happening in Culver City. After initially announcing release dates for “Kraven the Hunter” and “Karate Kid” during the 2024 Summer and Christmas seasons, Sony has decided to delay both films and swap their seasonal positions.
The upcoming “Karate Kid” movie, which sees Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan reprising their roles from various iterations of the franchise, was originally slated to hit theaters on December 13, 2024. The film will now open six months later on May 30, 2025. The new positioning also allows the family-friendly film to target a wider audience during summer vacation for many K-12 students.

In playing the lonely stalker Martha on the autobiographical Netflix TV series from comedian Richard Gadd, Gunning chased down the opportunity to care for this character.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times recently, Gunning said, “I really thought, if this gets into the wrong hands and it ever gets played by an actress who sees her as scary, or plays a kind of crazy version of a stalker, I think you’d absolutely ruin what is such nuanced, careful, delicate storytelling.”
Gunning isn’t wrong. The plotting of “Baby Reindeer” is a high-wire act that deals in subject matters ranging from the struggles of success in absurdist comedy to sexual...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Mary & George Episode 4, “The Wolf & The Lamb.”] Tony Curran‘s King James gave his heart to George Villiers in Mary & George Episode 4… literally. The Scottish King of England brought Nicholas Galitzine‘s George to his homeland for the purpose of digging up the embalmed heart of his first great love, Lord Lennox, encased in an iron ring. Lennox and James had the same age difference as James and George, viewers learned in the Friday, April 26 episode. James learned a lot from his older lover, though everyone around him at the time feared that the love wasn’t real between them, that James was being used. But their concern wasn’t for James’ true wellbeing, rather for the sake of the monarch and how his wellbeing affects everybody else. James fears that no one can love him as deeply and truly as Lennox, but he pours his heart out to...

Nicole Kidman has been an international treasure going on four decades. Whether you’re tracking her many wigs (“The Undoing” is our favorite), admiring her textured and committed performances, or just standing up and saluting before every AMC Theatres showing, you’re probably honoring her in some way.
While five best actress Oscar nominations and one win (for “The Hours”) have been adequate markers of her success and endurance, conversations have been brewing for years about a lack of recognition for her remarkable artistic consistency.
“How many times does Nicole Kidman have to prove herself?” asked author Anne Helen Peterson in a 2017 essay for BuzzFeed,...

Since 1963, the British sci-fi series Doctor Who has captivated fans across the world. There have been 39 seasons (and counting!), but that’s where things get a bit wibbly wobbly, timey wimey, to borrow a phrase from The Doctor. The show follows the Doctor, a time lord who travels across space and time in the Tardis (Time and Relative Dimension in Space), which looks like a police box and is bigger on the inside, with a companion (or several). When the Doctor is fatally wounded, he or she regenerates, changing the physical form and allowing for new leads over the years. Doctor Who returns for its 14th season since the show was revived in 2005 on May 10, and not only will it be the first full season with Ncuti Gatwa—who has already won us over with one full Christmas special following a surprise appearance in the last of ...

Yellowstone won’t be a TV show that ends with a whimper, according to Ian Bohen. In fact, the actor, who plays ranch hand Ryan on the Paramount Network series, is hyping up what he promises to be the best series finale in the history of television. “The fans are going to get the [best] conclusion that could possibly be written,” Bohen told Entertainment Tonight at the show’s Stagecoach pop-up. “Everything will land in a way that is perfectly set. A lot of shows just kind of finish… and they don’t satisfy you. This will be completed in a way that it will make sense.” He added: “I don’t know that any show has finished this strongly ever. We’re expecting to have the best series finale in history. Overconfident maybe, but I think that’s what it’s going to be. We thank everyone for their patience…...

[Editor’s note: The following contains some spoilers for “Dead Boy Detectives.”]
Esther is exhausted (immortality can do that to a gal). When she made a deal to live forever, she forgot to factor in youth and beauty and doomed herself to centuries of feeding children to a giant snake for the world’s most potent (if immoral) beauty treatment. And as played by Jenn Lyon in Netflix’s “Dead Boy Detectives,” she’s one of the most delectable villains to hit the TV screen since “Melrose Place.”
“She just wants to get these kids eaten already! And I really like that about her,” Lyon told IndieWire. Lyon continues her scene-stealing streak after “Claws” with Esther, described in the audition breakdown as a “burnt-out ’80s Stevie Nicks vibe” who becomes, in Lyon’s hands, the woman who always stays till last call at the dive bar.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fire Country Season 2 Episode 7 “A Hail Mary.”] To say Three Rock is in need of rescue in the latest Fire Country episode would be an understatement. Vince (Billy Burke) is injured after the danger seems to be over when the power is turned back on, but his trip to the hospital reveals a hand tremor he’s hiding. As for Three Rock, as Eve’s riding a high of a news report seemingly being a good sign for the camp,...

He’s imploding after the death of Somerset (Laurie Davidson), feeling as if he can’t trust anyone, especially George. And in truth, George is extremely untrustworthy.
